Dexter Has it All

Dexter has everything to appeal to anyone. Well, not exactly of course, but the show has many aspects of different genres. It is by far my most favourite show of the moment and while season 6 is still filming, I am catching up with season 4. I will try to write a storyline summary for different genres in an attempt to convince everyone to watch the show.
Warning: the summaries contain some spoilers!
Dexter, the detective. Florida is terrorized by an elusive serial killer. While everyday drug and murder crimes are taking place and investigated, a special task force tries to unmask this mass killer. Part of this police department is main character Dexter, a blood spatter analyst. What unfolds is a suspenseful cat and mouse play.
Dexter, the adult entertainment. In Florida's hottest city Miami, forensic expert Dexter cheats on his blonde girlfriend milf with a limber brunette. Dexter's small-breasted sister Debra sleeps with his brother, her athletic workout buddy, an elderly special agent and well-endowed black informant. But they are not the only members of the police department who are getting it on: Lt. LaGuerta is the biggest slut of them all. And when no one's looking, Dexter ties up nude guys on tables and has his way with them.
Dexter, the soap opera. The show follows the Morgan family: Dexter, a forensic analyst, kills his brother, who dated Dexter's stepsister, a police officer. Dexter, despite having a girlfriend whose husband was in jail, gets involved with a woman whom he met at a meeting for addicts. Meanwhile, Dexter's girlfriend has a secret of her own.
Dexter, the romantic comedy. Socially challenged Dexter stumbles through his love life, often misinterpreting his girlfriend Rita's romantic intentions. For Vince, Dexter's bald little sidekick, women without personal issues are out of his league. Dexter's sister Debra is even less lucky in love, having dated a serial killer!
Dexter, the history documentary. The show offers an insight in the mind of serial killer Dexter. Season after season, the viewer gets a clearer picture of Dexter's motives with the aid of flashbacks of events that took place during his youth, spanning a period of roughly one and a half decade.
Dexter, the game-show. The objective of the game is two-fold. Throughout the show Dexter plays the part of family man and forensic expert, while at the same time his goal is to unnoticedly finish off bad guys. Luckily he has a lifeline in the form of his deceased father. If he wins, he gets to keep the girl.
