Meet Max, my old cat. A very decent cat in his younger years, gone sexually wild when he grew up. He started molesting my pet moose, staining it to the point where I decided to let him have it.

We never had him castrated. Partly because of the cost involved, partly because we expected it to turn him into a fat boring cat. And since he never left the house anyway, we saw no reason. Later on, we sometimes regretted that decision, when he left strong smelling wet spots on our carpet.

When we broke up, my ex took him with her. Fortunately we still have the pictures!
