Top 10 Red Hot Redhead Celebrities

A friend of mine asked me if I knew any redheads and after long thinking I could only name Alyson Hannigan. This was of course unacceptable and I have now made this top 10 of hot redheads. All natural ginger celebrity babes, singers and actresses. Half of which, strangely enough, were born in August.

10. Tori Amos (22 aug 1963) USA, singer-songwriter

The oldest one on this list, but for a 46-year old she still looks quite well. I don't like her music and I don't really think she's all that cute, but the main reason she made it on this list, is (apart from her being a redhead) the myth or fact that she orgasmed on stage while playing the piano.


9. Geri Halliwell (6 aug 1972) Great Britain, singer (Spice Girls)

There was a time, long ago when the Spice Girls were hip, that I actually though Geri was almost as cute as Scary Spice (Mel B.). Her semi-nude pictures might have helped.


8. Lindsay Lohan (2 july 1986) USA, actress (Disney)

Apparently Lindsay Lohan used to act in Disney flics, before becoming the perma-drugged socialite that she is. Or was. I think she finished rehab a few times. I don't really care. Nor do I think too highly of her acting and singing attempts. She's a redhead and not too unattractive.


7. Gillian Anderson (9 aug 1968) USA, actress (X-Files)

Gillian Anderson was for a long time pretty much the only female in a show, if you were a geeky young man. She's not even a real beauty, not the woman you think about when you train your right hand, but more like an older sister or cousin type of woman.


6. Laura Prepon (7 mar 1980) USA, actress (That 70s Show)

I've thought long and hard where to put Laura Prepon. Most of the time I see her as the role she plays; the girl next door. Not the girl you lust after. Most of the time I'd hunt Mila Kunis instead. Most of the time I'm not even sure, is she pretty or unattractive? She's probably averagely attractive. Hence, an average #6 position.


5. Debra Messing (15 aug 1968) USA, actress (Will & Grace)

Beautiful but somewhat lacking in the physical department. It also doesn't do her good (or my image of her) that she's playing in such a bad comedy show.


4. Nicole Kidman (20 jun 1966) USA/Australia, actress

Nowadays she looks like an angry wax statue, but ignoring the past few years, Nicole Kidman would deserve a spot in the top 3 easily. Now she's old(er) and waxy, so.. sorry Nic, I had no choice but to let you drop to #4.


3. Amy Adams (20 aug 1974) Italy/USA, actress

I saw Amy Adams first in the feel-good movie Catch Me If You Can. She played the role of nerdy, naive but sweet Brenda convincingly and is too cute not to be in the top 3.


2. Alyson Hannigan (24 mar 1974) USA, actress

Although she does seem to be typecasted as a nerdy and naive yet sexy girl, she plays the role well. I loved her in the American Pie series, I loved her in Buffy and I love her in How I Met Your Mother. Awfully cute and a well-deserved #2.


1. Isla Fisher (3 feb 1976) Oman/Australia, actress

Not too famous, but very attractive. Partly cute, partly beautiful, it's the perfect combination. I noticed Isla Fisher as naughty young sister Gloria in Wedding Crashers with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. She also did Confessions of a Shopaholic but that sounds too much like a chick-flic to see it. She needs more Wedding Crashers type of jobs. Now together with Sascha Baron Cohen (Borat, Brüno, Ali G). But here she is, number 1, Isla Fisher.


Honourable mention: Emma Stone (6 nov 1988) USA, actress

She is not a natural redhead or she would have been my number one. She is actually blonde but was suggested to change her hair colour for her debut in Superbad. She has been mostly a redhead since. Good call, Emma!
