Pimp My Fast and Furious Need for Speed
Submitted by Rolf - Tue, 8 Sep 2009
I probably should not admit that I enjoyed The Fast and the Furious movies, or that Need for Speed Underground 2 was among my favorite X-box games. Or maybe even that I played with cars when I was a little fellow.
But since this is my own blog, I'm going to fill it with stuff that interests me, and fast and pimped cars interest me. I am a complete noob when it comes to motor specifications and stuff that is happening under the hood. It's purely aesthetic.
I do not drive my car often enough nor am I rich enough to afford a body kit for my car. I certainly wouldn't mind some pimpage, though. Like a spoiler and a subtle side-skirt. Above all, a car is functional of course and should efficiently get you from A to C via B, but there are cars that are too ugly for me to be seen in. I would rather take the train, and do I hate public transporation, than be seen in a Fiat Multipla (picture to the right). That one is a good example of bad car design. I doubt even X-to-the-Z Xzibit could pimp it into something acceptable.
Anyhow, there are thousands of premade items, specifically for any type of car to personalize your ride into something unique. Here are a few examples of Before & After pictures. Original cars and pimped rides.
This is actually my own car (the left, unpimped one), a Nissan 100NX
Another Nissan, a Skyline, which is already an impressive car of itself
A Toyota Supra, as featured in the first Fast and the Furious movie
Just a cute car when pimped, a Citroen C1
Unpimped it's big and ugly, pimped it's brutal, the Ford Mustang
