The Rise and Fall of Atlantis
Suppose there are two players, say Ren and Stimpy. Both players want to
win. They achieve that goal by getting rid of the other player. One player
is got rid of, when he doesn't have any cells left with his color.
A player can only put a token in an empty cell or a cell
which has already one or more tokens of his color in it. A player can only
be eliminated if the other player splashes out of the cell adjacent to his.
When a cell is full, and another token is being put in, it will burst.
A cell in the corner is full with 1 token;
a cell on the edge is full with 2 tokens;
a cell elsewhere is full with 3 tokens;
Or, put in a different way, a cell will burst when there are as much
tokens in it as there are adjacent cells.
If Ren splashes into Stimpy's cell, Ren will gain Stimpy's tokens in that
cell (plus the token that splashed into it), so if there were 2 blue (suppose
blue was Stimpy's color) tokens in that cell, after the splash there would
be 3 red tokens. The rules say that an overfull cell will burst,
so if that particular cell is at the edge, it means it's overfull
now, and therefor it will burst. Chainreaction!
